We had our first CHILLY evening walk last night and I was in heaven. It made me want to come home and snuggle up in a blanket. ❤❤❤

A few years ago when I introduced personalized blankets to my shop, I was a little worried that the timing wasn't right. I've since been proven wrong--they're purchased year round from everywhere in the country. Everyone loves a super soft, snuggly blanket. They make perfect gifts for birthdays and Christmas!

We've made General Conference a bit of a holiday at our house. When the kids were little, we thought it would be fun to set up a store with treats. The kids earned money if they paid attention and could answer questions. (@somewhatsimpleblog has fun Conference Cash printables for this on their site!)

This little action helped create our twice a year tradition that we all love so much. Our simple questions have turned into deep, meaningful family discussions. (If I haven't said it recently, I'll say it again: We LOVE having teenagers! They are awesome!!) So that, coupled with the promise of fall, my desire to hear the leaders of our church, and my love for creating free printable quotes has me very excited! Just two weeks away!

I was grumpily walking through a mist of allergens this morning... I was trying to take advantage of my time in nature and enjoy the fresh air and wildlife, but I kept focusing on a few things I'd change about yesterday, how horribly I slept last night, things I had on my agenda for today, and the endless humidity and ragweed. 🥵🤧

I snapped this picture because you can usually see the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian mountains here, but the air was too thick. I turned around and was taken back by a beautiful sunrise. My 2nd picture here doesn't do it justice, but it was just what I needed to see this morning.

Wish me luck in quieting my brain and filling my heart with gratitude today. I hope you can do the same. ❤
